5 Easy and Fun Cleaning Tips For The Upcoming Spring

5 Spring Cleaning Tips

Spring has arrived, which means it is time for spring cleaning. It may seem like a daunting task, but here are five tips to help you get started.

Tip #1: Clean room by room using a checklist

The most effective way to deep clean your house is by approaching your house room by room. It’s helpful to create a cleaning checklist for each room which will help you get organized. This checklist will be able to remind you of what areas need extra cleaning.

Tip #2: Get the entire household involved

Spring cleaning can be more fun when it is a household endeavor. Start by assigning age-appropriate chores, so even your littles can feel included. Maybe even try playing some music or establish an incentive to speed up the process - perhaps a Welo bar as a prize could do the trick hehe ;)

Tip #3: Clear the clutter

One of the most daunting tasks involved in spring cleaning is organizing the clutter. To make this process easier, consider sorting your belongings into three categories; trash, store or give away. This can be effective because it forces you to remove the clutter quickly.

Tip #4: Keep cleaning products to a minimum

Several cleaning supplies can lead to additional clutter, and some of the products might not even be necessary for deep cleaning. Therefore, try opting for good quality cloths and all-purpose cleaner as these items will cover the majority of surfaces in your home. Aside from these cleaning products, only purchase new supplies as needed.

Tip #5: Establish new cleaning habits

Spring cleaning is the ideal occasion to establish new, effective cleaning habits, which can make next year’s cleaning a lot easier. For instance, tackle items on your checklist for just half an hour per day, instead of trying to knock it all out in a day or two. This will help you get in the habit of cleaning up for fifteen to thirty minutes each day, even after your spring cleaning has been completed.
